4,780 New HUD-Code Homes Shipped in February 2015

In February 2015, 4,780 new manufactured homes were shipped, an increase of 9.7 percent from February 2014. The trend reflected gains across the board, with shipments of single section homes and multi section homes up by 13.6% and 6.1 percent respectively, compared with the same month last year.  Total floors shipped in February 2015 were 7,263 an increase of 8.3% compared with February 2014.

Compared with the prior year, 2015 recorded shipment increases in January & February. For the first two months of this year, shipments totaled 9,722 homes compared with 8,668 homes in 2014, a net increase of 12.2%

The seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of shipments was 67,398 in February 2015, down 4.9 percent from the adjusted rate of 70,837 in January 2015. The SAAR corrects for normal seasonal variations and projects annual shipments based on the current monthly total.

The number of plants reporting production in February 2015 was 121 and the number of active corporations was 38, both unchanged from the previous month.

In January 2015, 4,942 new manufactured homes were shipped, an increase of 14.7 percent from January 2014. The trend reflected gains across the board, with shipments of single section homes up by 28.8 percent compared with the same month last year, and shipments of the multi-section homes showed an increase of 4.1 percent. Total floors shipped in January 2015 were 7,567, an increase of 10.8 percent compared with January 2014.

The seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of shipments was 70,837 in January 2015, down 0.7 percent from the adjusted rate of 71,347 in December 2014. The SAAR corrects for normal seasonal variations and projects annual shipments based on the current monthly total.

The number of plants reporting production in January 2015 was 121 and the number of active corporations was 38, both down from the numbers in December 2014.

HUD home shipments up in May 2012

The report for May 2012 is out and the numbers are still looking up, especially in comparison to May 2011.  In fact, 5,197 new manufactured homes were shipped which is up 16.1% from May of 2011.  Single-section and multi-section homes numbers were also up in comparison to last year.

The shipments each month of 2012 have consistently been an increase in each month in comparison to the same time frame of 2011.  From January through the month of May, the 2012 shipments have yielded 22,627 homes in comparison of the same time frame of 2011 which yielded 18,125 homes.

In May of this year a total of 8,032 floors were shipped which is an increase of 16.9% from May 2011.  55,982 was the *SAAR or the seasonally adjusted annual rate of shipments for May of 2012.  This SAAR is up 6.3% from the of 52,642 in April of 2012.

122 plants were reported production in May of 2012.  This number was down by one from April.  The number of active corporations was 45 which was unchanged from the prior month.

Numbers are up in April 2012!

More great news – 4,650 new manufactured homes were shipped which is up 17.6% from April in 2011.  The increase was felt across the board with shipments up in both single-section and multisection homes.

Continuing the trend for 2012, single-section homes were the largest portion of the increase for all four months of the year.  The single-section homes in April 2012 were up 23.4% in comparison to April 2011.

In comparison to the first four months of 2011 – the 2012 shipments were up a net increase of 27.7% or in other words 17,430 homes were shipped in 2012 in comparison to the 13,650 homes shipped in 2011.

The *SAAR or the seasonally adjusted annual rate of shipments in April 2012 was 52,642 which was down 8.1% from the rate of 57,286 in March 2012.

A total of 7,124 floors were shipped in the month of April which is an increase of 16.1% from 2011.  Plants reporting production in April was 123 which was one up from March and number of corporations was 45 which was one down from the number in the previous month.

Shipments are up in March 2012!

Great news is on the horizon!  New HUD code homes that were shipped in March 2012 were up 16.4% from shipments in March 2011!  A total of 4,696 new manufactured homes were shipped in March 2012.

Up 23.5% from March 2011, single section homes accounted for the largest portion of the increase.  Multi-section homes also increased from March of last year.

January, February and March 2012 shipments are up 31.8% with 12,780 shipments in comparison to March 2011 shipments of only 9,696.

The *SAAR or the seasonally adjusted annual rate was 57,268 for March of 2012.  From February’s numbers it is down 9.3%.  (February 2012’s SAAR was 63,111 shipments).

The total number of floors that were shipped were 7,132 for March of 2012 which is an increase of 14.4% in comparison to March 2011.  122 plants and 46 manufacturing companies reported production in March which is unchanged from last month.
